The work has been created in response to continued intensive logging of forests in the Amazon and in various parts of the world (including Australia), in spite of clear scientific evidence of the impacts of this kind of human activity on climate change.

The work is designed to prompt contemplation of the connectedness between us, as human beings, and living forms around us-in this instance, trees, and to experience this on a visceral level (not just the conceptual level of understanding the importance of trees as the lungs of the world).
