Wind x Water x Sky, 2013
11th Environmental Art Exhibition
Näkymä in Akaa, Finland
Floating on the lake, a luminescent flotilla made up of 200 small hemispherical objects reflect the changing light conditions through the course of the day.
Constructed out of recycled CD’s, the objects spread over an area 30 m wide. They form a pattern, which changes shape according to the movement of wind and water, creating a shift in texture on the lake’s surface so that light is reflected and subtly distorted, in the manner that the wind or a current creates a shift in colour and texture on the water’s surface.
