Sue Callanan has been a practicing artist for the past

3 decades, with a focus on creating artworks in the public sphere which highlight architectural nuance and social habitation of a space.

Sue is the co-founder and director of

Articulate project space, Leichhardt.

Through focusing on architectural elements of the space, the larger usage and purpose of the space is made more conscious and imbued with a poetic resonance. Many of the works have occupied zones of transition, where the act of walking is part of the means of experiencing the work. Sue has created installations

in Australia, Korea, Finland, Brazil, USA and the UK.
